Recommended fine dining in Ft. Lauderdale for business & special events, even with our inappropriate outdoor seating. I'm taking a star off for our inappropriate table which still irks me. Even though there were plenty of available tables outdoors along the waterfront they insisted on seating us at the far end next to a fence blocking the dumpster. Please keep in mind how pricey this restaurant is and how much money we were planning on spending on this business meal. I asked them if we could sit at one of the two closer tables for four and they said they were both reserved. What?!?!?!!! First of all we were here first. Secondly I'm sure we would spend more money. Third of all, the other groups never came!!! Very disappointing. So beware they take care of certain people here and treat others like second class. So although I won't be coming back here next time, I will have to be honest and say that the food is really great. The group started with an assortment of oysters and calamari. Everything was extremely enjoyed by all. Very nice service and excellent quality food. Really cannot find any faults with the appetizers. My macadamia nut encrusted halibut was delicious! I like the size of the fish and the texture of the fish. We ordered some garlic mashed potatoes on the side as well as some mushrooms and we really enjoyed the entire meal For dessert I got their chocolate cake, it was split by the entire group of four and there was leftover. The chocolate cake is outstanding and not to be missed! Highly recommended for fine dining, just be careful when asking for outdoor seating. You may be better off to sit indoors.

Awesome views and ambience and great food! Wonderful evening with great friends. Highly recommend!!

So this was the nice meal of my stay in the area and Grill 66 didn't let us down. Of course I had the signature dish - the lobster. And its stuffed with shrimp, scallops and crab meat. Yup. And I finished it. Others in our party had the steaks and everyone was well satisfied. Or if you want to go the middle ground they have a classic surf and turf on the menu. Typical for a steakhouse the sides are a la carte but are ample and definitely shareable - the sauteed forest mushrooms was a standout. There's a moderate dress code and no cell phones allowed. Kind of hard to navigate to but well worth the trip.

My bone in ribeye was delightful. The service was great but the restaurant is not intimate so I wouldn't recommend it for a date night. Seating is very close to one another.

Came to Grille 66 & Bar for Reixa C.'s happy hour and was really impressed. They offer a nice Happy Hour menu from 5-7 every night at the bar. We sat at a nice big table right beside the bar near the wines and were still able to order from the HH menu. Half of the table was filled with a group of older gentlemen who I later found out were regulars. We had a very nice conversation throughout the evening. They have a nice Happy Hour menu so I ordered the Grille 66 Sirloin Sliders ($8) and a glass of Pinot Noir ($6). The burgers came three to a plate and were very tasty. I tried Reixa's Maryland Crabcake and it was also very good. Lots of crab instead of just filler. Nancy M. ordered Lamb Lollipops and they looked amazing. The wine pours are very nice proportions also. The restaurant did have a primarily older crowd when we first arrived. I did notice it seemed to get a bit younger as the evening went on. The views here are just amazing. We walked outside to the dock to take in the sunset and it was just beautiful. Thank you Reixa for setting up a very enjoyable happy hour. It was great getting to spend the evening with you and Hope P., Lindsay Y., Nancy M., and Rebeca P.

3/3/2018 - REVIEW IS FOR HAPPY HOUR This place was a bit hard to find but when you find it, you will not be disappointed. It was on Yelp's Review of the Day by Nancy M. and after reading her review and seeing her photos, I had to check it out. I got a group of ladies together for Happy Hour. Upon walking in, I was greeted and asked if I had a reservation. I told them I was meeting a few friends at the bar. The hostess said "Oh" and then looked down to continue what she was doing. (Not very customer service like) OK...so I preceded to the bar area. I sat at the bar and was greeted by a very nice gentleman. He pointed out the happy hour wine list. I ordered the Sauvignon Blanc while waiting on the group. As I looked around, I felt a bit out of place. It felt a little country club like and it was an older crowd, a bit stuffy. Once every one started arriving, we moved to a long wood table by the wines overlooking the restaurant. It's like a community table, we ended up sharing with a group of seven gentlemen. We immediately were assigned a waiter that took care of us all night. For the happy hour appetizer menu, I ordered the MARYLAND CRABCAKE, with roasted sweet corn jalapeno relish & sauce remoulade. It was very dense and delicious, although a bit dry. It comes with a sauce but I ordered it on the side. Nancy ordered the GRILLED MARINATED LAMB LOLLIPOPS and she let me have one and I must say they are succulent. They just melt in your mouth, so juicy!. Other ladies ordered POTATO SKINS and the GRILLE 66 SIRLOIN SLIDERS. I did have a bite of Angie's sirloin sliders and they were perfectly cooked and tender. The views here are spectacular. We went outside to see the yachts and to catch the sunset over 17th street bridge and of course get a few pictures. Happy Hour is excellent here because of the quality of the food and drinks, the value and those views! The company was great, thank you Nancy M., Rebeca P., Angie S., Lindsay Y., Hope P. Valet is Complimentary* that's a plus.

First time here and the food did not disappoint. The paint on the floor how did disappoint. Seems that I got white paint on the bottom of my shoes when I walked into the restaurant. About the location, it was a bit hard to find since there signs where not too clear. Also, getting in there is really a hastle as people stop in the middle of the road to the hotel to drop people off. Even though there is a line of cars waiting to get in. They also have 2 people directing traffic. Needless to say it's a pain to get in there on a Saturday. About the food, it was amazing. All of it was so tasty. The service was great. Th decor was AMAZING. Thank you, Reixa for hosting the event. It was nice to spend some quality time with, Hope, Nancy, Angie, Linsey.

Another stellar Happy Hour with my yelp friends Reixa, Angie, Hope, Becky and Lindsey! The lamb chops were point on! Delicious. I always get them when I come for happy Hour and for 13 dollars for 5 lamb chops thats the best deal in town. ONE THING that really hurt me was when I accidentally ran over an orange cone it MUST have been filled with white paint because it got all over my tire and wheel well and just a touch on my paint,. I was so mad.. I came home and scrubbed the paint off my new vehicle..BOO Grille 66 for putting paint(white no less) in your orange cones.. That stunk!!! Besides the paint mess everything else was great! Be careful driving in their lot so the white paint doesnt ruin your car like they tried with my brand new SUV...beyond mad about that (i took one star off for that).

Came here midweek for dinner. I made a reservation on Opentable and we got a great table by the window away from the crowds and large groups. The place was packed. Our waiter, Randy, was a career professional waiter and excellent. This guy could train future waiters! I started with the perfect dirty Martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. Per Randy's suggestion, we split a salad because they are so big. I substituted romaine lettuce for greens in the salad of the day. It was the best salad of the trip. All fresh ingredients and in the right proportion. The salmon was also very good and came with a succotash that was heavier on the corn than edamame; it was also very fresh. We got a side a sautéed spinach.
